Q: Where can I find the manual?
A: With the game running strike the <F1> key.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I've installed the version from a floppy. I have a sound adapter and I
can hear the sound effects but I can't hear any music. What's wrong?
A: Nothing's wrong. Since you're playing from the floppy version there's no
music that comes with it. The musical score is contained on the CD-ROM
and is therefore only available if are running the CD-ROM version.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
I've installed the CD-ROM version of the game but I can't hear any music.
A: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
The AUDIO CD driver must be installed to hear the game's musical score.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
How do I install the AUDIO CD driver?
A: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
1. Open the program manager by double clicking on the icon.
2. Find the 'Configuration panel', double click on the icon.
3. Find the 'Drivers' icon, double click on it.
4. Click on the 'Add driver' button to add another device.
5. Select a device called '[MCI] CD AUDIO' from the list of
drivers. Then, click on the 'OK' button.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
I have a sound adapter installed but I can't hear any sound.
A: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
1. Launch the 'SETUP' program and make certain that a sound adapter is
selected.
2. Make certain that the DMA, IRQ and I/O parameters correspond to those
of the sound adapter.
3. Make certain that you aren't running the game from within Windows. The
reason being that the Sound adapter isn't available to a DOS shell
from within Windows.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
The sound loops abnormally or it simply stops after a moment.
A: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
The Sound adapter is probably not properly configured or is conflicting
with another device.
1. Make certain that from within the SETUP program the DMA, IRQ and I/O
parameters correspond to those of the sound adapter.
2. If you selected the correct parameters, your sound adapter is probably
conflicting with another device within the system.
Material conflicts are generally due to different devices using the same
resources. These conflicting devices can hinder the system or cause it to
crash and even cause you to "Cold-Boot" the system.
There are mainly only 3 types of resource conflicts:
- I/O or Input/Output port
- IRQ or Interrupt ReQuest
- DMA or Direct Memory Access channels
To resolve material conflicts such as these you'll need to refer to the
sound adapter manual and follow the instructions listed in it in order to
change the hardware/software configuration parameters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How do I restore the default command set?
A: Launch the 'SETUP' program. Select the option 'CONFIGURE CONTROLLER' from
there select 'RESTORE THE DEFAULT CONFIGURATION'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: The numeric key pad doesn't function! How do I enter numerals from the
keyboard?
A: To enter numerals from the keyboard use the numerals on the top row of
the keyboard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How can I change the language used from within the game?
A: You can change the language used from within the game from within the
SETUP program.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How can I change the keyboard? (Azerty, Qwerty or Qwertzu)
A: You can change the keyboard type used from within the game from within
the SETUP program.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How can I play the game by using a joy-stick?
A: Launch the SETUP program. Choose the option 'SELECT CONTROLLER' and
select joy-stick. If the game allows 2 player mode, player 1 must use
the first joy-stick and player the second. Therefore if you only have a
single joy-stick only player 1 may use it to play. In order to use 2
joy-sticks, you must either have an adapter which allows you to connect 2
joy-sticks simultaneously, or a double 'Y' cable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
I have a joy-stick but the SETUP program can't detect it.
A: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
The driver for the joy-stick must be installed and recognised by the
system in order to use it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [ ] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
How do I install a joy-stick driver?
A: [ ] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
1. Click on 'START' in the task bar.
2. Click on 'SETTINGS'.
3. Click on 'CONTROL PANEL'
4. Double click on the 'ADD NEW HARDWARE' Icon. The 'ADD NEW HARDWARE
WIZARD' window will appear.
5. Click on the 'NEXT' button in order to go to the next screen.
6. Click on the 'NEXT' button in order to start automatic hardware
detection. The hard ware detection phase can take a few moments.
Normally, the detection should find the joy-stick port and install
the appropriate driver. If Windows finds the joy-stick port then the
following points no longer are of any concern. Simply let the
'Wizard' complete the process and answer any questions appropriately.
If (and only if) Windows doesn't find any new hardware:
7. Repeat the first 6 steps, but this time at step 6 select 'NO' before
you click on the 'NEXT' button. This will avoid the hardware
detection phase.
8. In the 'HARDWARE TYPES' list select 'SOUND VIDEO and GAME
CONTROLLERS', then click on the 'NEXT' button.
9. In the 'MANUFACTURERS' list select 'MICROSOFT'. Then, from the
'MODELS' list select 'GAME PORT', then click on 'NEXT'. Simply let
the 'Wizard' complete the process and answer any questions
appropriately.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
When I launch the game I get a message that states that the graphics
device isn't in the recommended 256 color mode. What does this mean?
A: [ ] DOS [X] Windows 3.1 [X] Windows 95
The game is supposed to function in 256 color graphics mode. If you use
other mode, the display may be considerably slower. In order to obtain
the most fluid animation possible, it is recommended that the graphics
device be set to display 256 colors.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
When I launch the game I get a message that states that the graphics
device isn't in VESA compatible. What does this mean?
A: [X] DOS [ ] Windows 3.1 [ ] Windows 95
The game uses a high resolution graphics mode which requires a VESA
compatible display adapter. If your graphics adapter isn't VESA
compatible, the high resolution graphics in the game won't display
properly. There are 2 remaining possibilities which will enable you to
view the high resolution graphics present in the game:
1. You already have a SUPER VGA adapter, however, it isn't VESA
compatible... in which case you must find a VESA emulation program.
2. You have a VGA adapter, the only way to view high resolution graphics
is to purchase a SUPER VGA adapter.
